Description

APTC Leakproof MB2K is a two part, water based epoxy primer and barrier system designed to prevent moisture , vapour and rising damp from penetrating through surfaces. Multi-use, it can serve as a primer and vapor barrier for waterproofing systems, a protective coating for walls and floors, and a moisture barrier for underground structures.

APTC Leakproof MB2K is solvent free with a low VOC and excellent adhesion properties. 

Areas of Use:
  • General primer for Leakproof waterproofing systems
  • Vapour barrier / barrier primer system to protect waterproofing membranes on damp surfaces
  • Moisture barrier on the negative side of underground wall structures (basements retaining walls etc) to prevent moisture infiltration and seepage
  • Barrier coating system on walls and floors to protect finishes (paints, carpets, vinyl & timber flooring, levelling compounds) from residual moisture, vapour, rising damp and efflorescence. Waterproof coating for potable water storage applications
Application Areas:
  • Retaining walls, basements, lift wells
  • Concrete tanks, aqueducts, reservoirs, fish ponds 
  • Under timber floors/vinyl overlays
  • Potable water application
Suitable substrates: concrete, concrete block, screed & render, masonry, timber, compressed fibre sheeting including James Hardie Scyon Secura.
